Silene argillosa merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Caryophyllaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Afrika barat laut. Nama ilmiah Silene argillosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Giles Munby pada tahun 1864.
