Silene behen merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Caryophyllaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Macaronesia, Mediterania. Nama ilmiah Silene behen diperkenalkan oleh Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.
