Silene chirensis merupakan tumbuhan semusim atau menahun dari famili Caryophyllaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Mesir hingga kawasan tropis Afrika bagian timur laut, Jazirah Arab. Nama ilmiah Silene chirensis diperkenalkan oleh Achille Richard pada tahun 1848.
