Silene conica merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Caryophyllaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kepulauan Kanaria, Afrika barat laut, Eropa hingga Asia tengah dan Afghanistan. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan striped corn catchfly. Nama ilmiah Silene conica diperkenalkan oleh Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.
