Silene coronaria merupakan tumbuhan dwimusim atau menahun dari famili Caryophyllaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang. Nama ilmiah Silene coronaria pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Joseph Philippe de Clairville pada tahun 1811.
