Silene flos-jovis merupakan tumbuhan dwimusim atau menahun dari famili Caryophyllaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang. Nama ilmiah Silene flos-jovis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Werner Rodolfo Greuter pada tahun 1982.
