Silene variegata merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Caryophyllaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Kriti. Nama ilmiah Silene variegata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama René Louiche Desfontaines pada tahun 1849.
