Silene violascens merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Caryophyllaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim dingin (subalpin atau subarktik). Nama ilmiah Silene violascens diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Alexandr Innokentevich Tolmatchew pada tahun 2008.
