Silene virginica adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Caryophyllaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Amerika Serikat bagian utara-tengah dan timur. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan fire pink. Nama ilmiah Silene virginica diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.
