Sloanea cruenta adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Elaeocarpaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko (Guerrero, Oaxaca, Chiapas), hingga Guatemala. Nama ilmiah Sloanea cruenta pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Cyrus Longworth Lundell pada tahun 1975.
