Sloanea velutina merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Elaeocarpaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Papua New Guinea. Nama ilmiah Sloanea velutina pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Rudolf Schlechter pada tahun 1944.
