Smilax ampla merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Smilacaceae yang memiliki pola tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kepulauan Bismarck. Nama ilmiah Smilax ampla diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Otto Warburg pada tahun 1925.
