Solanum orthacanthum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Solanaceae (suku terong-terongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Rep. Dominika. Nama ilmiah Solanum orthacanthum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Otto Eugen Schulz pada tahun 1913.
