Solanum pimpinellifolium adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu dari famili Solanaceae (suku terong-terongan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Galápagos, Ekuador hingga Chili (Atacama). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan currant tomato. Nama ilmiah Solanum pimpinellifolium diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1755.
