Solanum umbellatum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Solanaceae (suku terong-terongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga kawasan tropis Amerika. Nama ilmiah Solanum umbellatum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Philip Miller pada tahun 1768.
