Solidago macrophylla merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kanada bagian timur hingga Amerika Serikat timur laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan largeleaf goldenrod. Nama ilmiah Solidago macrophylla diperkenalkan oleh Joseph Banks pada tahun 1813.
