Solidago speciosa merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Amerika Serikat bagian utara-tengah dan timur. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan showy goldenrod. Nama ilmiah Solidago speciosa diperkenalkan oleh Thomas Nuttall pada tahun 1818.
