Solidago velutina subsp. californica merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Oregon hingga Meksiko (Baja California). Nama ilmiah Solidago velutina subsp. californica diperkenalkan oleh Thomas Nuttall pada tahun 2003.
