Sonchus radicatus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Kepulauan Kanaria (Tenerife). Nama ilmiah Sonchus radicatus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama William Aiton pada tahun 1789.
