Sonchus regius adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Kepulauan Juan Fernández. Nama ilmiah Sonchus regius diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Johan Fredrik Skottsberg pada tahun 2012.
