Sonchus splendens merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Kepulauan Juan Fernández. Nama ilmiah Sonchus splendens pertama kali dipublikasikan pada tahun 2012.
