Sophora songarica merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Asia tengah. Nama ilmiah Sophora songarica pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Alexander Gustav von Schrenk pada tahun 1845.
