Spermacoce ovalifolia adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu kecil dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian) yang memiliki siklus hidup semusim (annual). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga kawasan tropis Amerika. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan broadleaf false buttonweed. Nama ilmiah Spermacoce ovalifolia diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Martin Martens pada tahun 1881.
