Sphaeranthus amaranthoides adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah India barat daya, Sri Lanka. Nama ilmiah Sphaeranthus amaranthoides diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Nicolaas Laurens Burman pada tahun 1768.
