Sphaeropteris australis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Cyatheaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Queensland timur-tengah hingga Victoria timur. Nama ilmiah Sphaeropteris australis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Borivoj Presl pada tahun 1970.
