Spigelia aenea merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Loganiaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil (Bahia). Nama ilmiah Spigelia aenea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Charles Antoine Lemaire pada tahun 1857.
