Spinifex hirsutus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Coastal Australia. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan hairy spinifex. Nama ilmiah Spinifex hirsutus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Jacques Labillardière pada tahun 1806.
