Sporobolus coarctatus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil tenggara dan selatan hingga Argentina timur laut. Nama ilmiah Sporobolus coarctatus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Bernhard von Trinius pada tahun 2014.
