Sporobolus elatior adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Madagaskar. Nama ilmiah Sporobolus elatior diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Jean Marie Bosser pada tahun 1969.
