Sporobolus heterolepis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kanada hingga Amerika Serikat. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan prairie dropseed. Nama ilmiah Sporobolus heterolepis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Asa Gray pada tahun 1848.
