Sporobolus maderaspatanus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah India, Sri Lanka. Nama ilmiah Sporobolus maderaspatanus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Norman Loftus Bor pada tahun 1957.
