Sporobolus pellucidus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Niger, Ethiopia, Namibia, hingga Jazirah Arab. Nama ilmiah Sporobolus pellucidus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Christian Ferdinand Friedrich Hochstetter pada tahun 1855.
