Sporobolus schoenoides merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Eurasia beriklim sedang hingga Mozambique. Nama ilmiah Sporobolus schoenoides pertama kali dipublikasikan pada tahun 2014.
