Sporobolus tenellus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Botswana hingga Provinsi Cape. Nama ilmiah Sporobolus tenellus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Anton Sprengel pada tahun 1833.
