Sporobolus teretifolius merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Amerika Serikat bagian tenggara. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan wireleaf dropseed. Nama ilmiah Sporobolus teretifolius pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Roland McMillan Harper pada tahun 1906.
