Sporobolus trichodes merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko. Nama ilmiah Sporobolus trichodes pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Albert Spear Hitchcock pada tahun 1913.
