Stachys aperta merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Peru hingga Bolivia. Nama ilmiah Stachys aperta diperkenalkan oleh Carl Clawson Epling pada tahun 1934.
