Stachys caffra merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Afrika Selatan. Nama ilmiah Stachys caffra diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Ernst Heinrich Friedrich Meyer pada tahun 1848.
