Stachys cordata merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Amerika Serikat bagian utara-tengah dan timur. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan heartleaf hedgenettle. Nama ilmiah Stachys cordata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama John Leonard Riddell pada tahun 1836.
