Stachys pringlei merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Meksiko (Hidalgo, Puebla). Nama ilmiah Stachys pringlei diperkenalkan oleh Jesse More Greenman pada tahun 1905.
