Stachys sylvatica adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Macaronesia, Eropa, Siberia tengah, hingga Himalaya barat. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan whitespot. Nama ilmiah Stachys sylvatica diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.
