Staphylea trifolia adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Staphyleaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kanada bagian timur hingga Ctimur dan Amerika Serikat timur. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan american bladdernut. Nama ilmiah Staphylea trifolia diperkenalkan oleh Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.
