Staurogyne argentea merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Himalaya hingga Myanmar, Kepulauan Andaman. Nama ilmiah Staurogyne argentea diperkenalkan oleh Nathaniel Wallich pada tahun 1831.
