Staurogyne hypoleuca merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari China (Yunnan) hingga Vietnam. Nama ilmiah Staurogyne hypoleuca pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Raymond Benoist pada tahun 1913.
