Staurogyne novoguineensis merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Papua. Nama ilmiah Staurogyne novoguineensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ryōzō Kanehira pada tahun 1960.
