Stenochlaena tenuifolia merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Aspleniaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk akar rimpang. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kamerun, Kenya, Afrika Selatan, Komoro, hingga Madagaskar. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan giant vine fern. Nama ilmiah Stenochlaena tenuifolia pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nicaise Auguste Desvaux pada tahun 1856.
