Sterigmapetalum chrysophyllum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Rhizophoraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Venezuela (Amazonas) hingga Brazil (Roraima). Nama ilmiah Sterigmapetalum chrysophyllum diperkenalkan oleh Gerardo Antonio Aymard Corredor pada tahun 1995.
