Sticherus flagellaris merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Gleicheniaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di kawasan tropis Afrika bagian timur dan timur-tengah, Samudera Hindia bagian barat. Nama ilmiah Sticherus flagellaris pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Jean Baptiste Bory de Saint-Vincent pada tahun 1940.
