Sticherus tener merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Gleicheniaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Victoria, Tasmania, Pulau Selatan Selandia Baru. Nama ilmiah Sticherus tener diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Robert Brown pada tahun 1940.
