Stipa arenosa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim dingin (subalpin atau subarktik) dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Xinjiang selatan hingga China (Gansu). Nama ilmiah Stipa arenosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nikolai Nikolaievich Tzvelev pada tahun 2022.
